Rebecca Bailey is a writer based in the Seattle area who has great affection for youth and all things green. She has two-children who are wonderful teachers and inspire her every day. She lives and works with wildlife photographer Curt Given, and has traveled extensively with him throughout the northwest and beyond. She loves watching wildlife, often calling herself the casual observer while Curt takes his zillions of photographs. Her part is easy, compared to his. For the last three years, she has worked as a freelance writer. Before that, she worked for more than 15 years in marketing and public relations. She has written for Birder’s World, Parent Map, Northwest Travel, Northwest Parks and Wildlife magazines, and the Daily Herald, Snohomish County Business Journal and Everett Dispatch newspapers.
Curt Given and his brother Cary are wildlife photographers who have more than two decades of experience. Their powerful use of color, space and subject placement work to communicate meaning. Their photos evoke feelings of excitement, warmth and power. They have published images in Ranger Rick, Birder’s World, Bird Watcher’s Digest, National Parks, Northwest Travel and other magazines, cards and calendars.
